Adikavi Nannaya University, Rajahmundry is a government state university and it was established on April 22, 2006. Adikavi Nannaya University has many district colleges affiliated with the university. The AKNU comprises four main colleges on its campus which include University College of Arts & Commerce, University College of Engineering, University College of Education, and University College of Science & Technology.
