Indira Gandhi University Meerpur is a state university of Haryana, established in 2013. IGU Meerpur is a teaching-cum-affiliated university that facilitates and promotes higher education with special emphasis in emerging areas of information technology and computer education, commerce, humanities and management studies. 

IGU Meerpur offers undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programmes in the field of Engineering, Education, Pharmacy, Architecture, Management and Sciences. Undergraduate courses at IGU Meerpur include B.Tech, BHMCT, LLB, and B.Pharma. Whereas, postgraduate courses at IGU Meerpur include PGD, MSW, M.Com, M.Com Hons., MCA and more. 

Admission to IGU Meerpur is based on merit basis except for the B.Tech which is based on the JEE Mains entrance examination. Before becoming an independent State University, IGU Meerpur was working at the Indira Gandhi Post Graduate Regional Centre of Maharishi Dayanand University, Rohtak.
