Ranchi University (RU), Ranchi established on July 12, 1960, is an autonomous institution that emerged from the bifurcation of Bihar University. Ranchi University has grown to include 22 postgraduate departments, 47 affiliated colleges, and 19 constituent colleges, serving around 160,000 students.
