CCET stands for Christ College of Engineering and Technology, a College which was started in the year 2007 in Puducherry. This AICTE-recognised college has a wide course portfolio comprising undergraduate and postgraduate courses in engineering and management. CCET is an institute affiliated with Pondicherry University and it has claimed a status of its own in the field of technical education. The infrastructure of the campus is 5.2 acres and has a total student enrolment of 1264 students and faculty members are 167. CCET has envisaged and provided 8 courses spread over 3 degree programmes including engineering freshers, MBA, and MCA. Indeed, quality is concretely showcased in the college, especially in its quality equipment and industry-centered programmes.

CCET Puducherry is proud of its well-equipped modern infrastructure facilities that can supplement learning. The college library is an elegant and spacious building, providing 5000 square feet of storage and with a collection of over 30102 books and 144 current journal subscriptions The library also has a computer-based library management system and the college subscribes to the DELNET and LIBGENIE project through which it has access to other library resources. Engineering students have access to responsive laboratory facilities that provide hands-on learning and research based on the engineering branch of each student. The following academic facilities have the following characteristics; the campus is well equipped with the desired IT facilities, and internet facilities are available and all the students indicated that the availability and use of modern technologies are adequate and up to date. In the area of co-curricular activities, CCET boasts of a complete range of sports hostels with a view of developing fitness and team spirit. 

The offered courses in CCET are all round and the total number is eight courses with diverse and strong academic backgrounds. They are 6 full-time B.Tech Programmes in Computer Science & Engineering, Information Technology Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Civil Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. In the postgraduate courses offered, the college provides full-time MBA and MCA courses. The total intake approved across all the courses is 750 while the B.Tech Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and MBA classes have the highest intake capacity of 180, 120, 120 and 180 respectively. All the courses are delivered in full-time, regular mode making all their Students get intensive and focused education in their respective area of study.

Candidates who wish to join CCET Puducherry have to go through an admission process based on merit namely the candidate’s results in the qualifying examinations and his or her performance records. Students seeking to pursue undergraduate engineering programmes are expected to have the following subjects; Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. The MBA and MCA courses are however available to graduates from any field as long as they meet some qualifications. The institute has a Training and Placement Cell which offers ample pre-Placement Training and organises campus interviews.
