The IHM & CT Silvassa was established in 2010 as a premier institute for hospitality management system. Situated in Union Territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli, it is affiliated with Veer Narmad South Gujarat University, Surat Offering excellent infrastructure this 9 acre campus college was established in the year 1965. The current enrolment for the Institute is 187 and the faculty of the institute is limited to 5 members. 

Facilities it possesses include some of the best amenities that are intended to enhance the students learning experience. The classrooms are conditioned with air condition systems and Smart class infrastructure such as LED projectors and touch screen ceramic black boards for an improved effective teaching-learning process. The library is clean and well-ventilated with Standing fans which cool it, and has the capacity to accommodate more than eighty students at a time and contains books and other learning resources . To support the practical training, the institute has placed functional laboratories with relevant machines such as housekeeping laboratory equipped with different type of cleaning gadgets accompanied with laundry facility having industrial washing machines. Comprising thirty stations with internet connection, the computer lab facilitates the learning by students of the Property Management System software. In particular, for students from distant localities the institute offers accommodations for boys and girls in separate hostels with wooden furniture, comfortable beds and other facilities are situated in these hostels.

Sponsored by the government of India the Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology, Silvassa as an institute that aims at delivering quality education in the field of hospitality management. It offers a single full-time course: Degree in Hospitality and Hotel Management; B.Sc in Hospitality and Hotel Administration. This academic program will take the students for three years carrying different subjects that will enable the students to have a sound understanding of theystery of company in the hospitality industry. 

Almost all the admissions to the courses in the Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology, Silvassa, are done through the score of the National Council for Hotel Management Joint Entrance Examination (NCHM JEE). This entrance examination is held at national level every year for providing admission to hotel management institutes in India.
