Mizoram Polytechnic, Lunglei which was set up in 1981 is one of the premier Institute of technical education situated in Lunglei, Mizoram. This affiliated college recognised by All India Council for Technical Education and provide quality education to all the student in different disciplines of engineering. Located on a vast area of land of about 13 acres, the institute admitted 200 students, 20 members of staff. Lunglei Mizoram Polytechnic recognises and understands the current and future societal and technological needs where technical and practical knowledge is paramount, hence engulfs four different diploma courses.
Mizoram Polytechnic can pride in that it provides a number of benefits that will affect the learning abilities of students in their respective institutions positively. The college is equipped with host of books of nearly 13000 and national and international journals makes it a useful center for learning process. Regarding teaching and skill practices, the college has numerous departmental laboratories where students can practice normally the theoretical paradigms offered. For this reason, alongside work-study, Mizoram Polytechnic features sports grounds and a gym for keeping fit. It has hostel accommodation for boys and girls, a policy that charges relatively low fees to give an opportunity to the students.
