Shree Macchi Mahajan Education Societys College of Education, Nani Daman, was established in 1993 to provide quality education to the people of Union Territory of Daman and Diu. A co-educational college created to produce educators, this college is located on 6.501 acres of land. Recognised by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council and the National Council for Teacher Education, the college appears as an affiliated college dedicated to offering quality education in teacher training. It possesses a total enrollments of one hundred and four students, and faculty that consist of six teachers, thus providing an intimate atmosphere for prospective teachers.

Shree Macchi Mahajan Education Society’s College of Education contains a variety of resources aimed at improving the learning process of the learners. The library plays an important role in the educational process as tutors of students of the faculties, junior and senior, sophomore and postgraduates, in their practices demand necessary libraries for their studies. Shree Macchi Mahajan Education Society’s College of Education has only a single course it offers to teacher education, this is the Bachelors in Education or the B.Ed. This is a two-year full course and the approved capacity intake is 60 students. The B.Ed programme aims at producing competent professional teachers capable of delivering service in the teaching profession. Due to the college’s focus on education the student receives specialised attention especially in the teacher training in order to produce competent graduates that can effectively cope up with the education sector challenges.
