Shri Vinoba Bhave College of Nursing is a nursing college founded in Silvassa in the year 2013. This affiliated college is situated in the union territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli and has been producing the healthcare leaders of tomorrow for almost a decade. The college, located over a vast area of 9.3 acres, is providing a growth-oriented environment to the aspiring nurse. By being accredited by the Indian Nursing Council (INC), the institution makes sure that it produces quality education and trainings to its students. The college has 273 students and is equipped with 12 highly skilled and talented teachers providing the best option for the student-teacher ratio.
Shri Vinoba Bhave College of Nursing has adopted modern facilities that are aimed at improving learning environment for the various students here. The knowledge centre of the aspiring nurses is inclusive of a well equipped, technologically aided, spacious library with e-learning facilities. The institution boasts of being well equipped with functional laboratories with dummies and also the modern teaching aids like OHPs, LCDs, visualisers and smart, interactive boards. These tools are more effective in making learning more lively, real and fun. To complement the learning needs of the students, the college was equipped with indoor and outdoor sports amenities to maintain students’ participation in various sports activities at the departmental, intercollegiate and even at national levels. Shri Vinoba Bhave College of Nursing that nursing courses are offered at undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes. The institution offers six full courses of study at the present time, of which one is a bachelors’ degree, while the other five are Masters’ degree programmes. The affiliate B.Sc Nursing programme with an approved capacity of 60 student’s enrolment, the five M.Sc programmes that are, Medical Surgical Nursing, Community Health Nursing, Paediatric Nursing, Obstetrics and Gynaecological Nursing and Psychiatric Nursing The student capacity for the current intake is eighty across all the programmes thereby giving each student adequate attention or capacity to deliver the best to each of the students in the college.

B.Sc Nursing
I. The minimum age for admission shall be 17 years on or before 31st December of the year of admission and the maximum age 35 years, as of 31st December of the year of admission.
II. minimum educational requirements shall be the passing of the Senior School Certificate Examination (10+2), Pre-degree Examination (10+2) OR an equivalent with 12 years of schooling from a recognized board or university with Science (Physics, Chemistry, and Biology) and English.
III. The Candidate should have passed the subjects of PCB and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 45% marks taken together in PCB at the qualifying examination, i.e., 10+2. For candidates belonging to SC/ST or other backward classes, the marks obtained in PCB should be 40%.
IV. The candidate should pass the entrance examination conducted by the institution. The eligibility criteria for passing the entrance examination will be 50 percentile for general and OBC and 40 percentile for SC and ST candidates.
V. Candidates with 40 % -50% of lower extremity disability are eligible to apply.
VI. Only Female candidates are eligible.
VII. The candidate shall be medically fit. (All candidates who are reporting for counseling are required to submit a Certificate of Medical Fitness from a Registered Medical Practitioner.)
VIII. Implementation of changes with regard to the admission process/selection criteria etc. will be incorporated as per INC and University notification issued from time to time.
